After more than a year, the COVID-19 pandemic still affects the way university courses are delivered as the majority of courses continue to be delivered online. Students are now faced with the fact that having access to a computer will be critical to their education. Numerous students at the University of the Philippines College of Engineering have voiced a need for a laptop computer for use during remote learning setup.
In line with this, we are humbly appealing to your generous hearts to help our students gain access to laptop computers that will enable them to continue their pursuit of an engineering degree. These laptop computers should have the minimum specifications of a Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM and 500GB HD.
Donors can help in three ways:
Option 1: Donate any pre-loved laptop computers(minimum specifications: Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM & 500GB HD)
Option 2:Purchase a laptop computer for donation (minimum specifications: Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM & 500GB HD)
Option 3: Donate cash of any amount to procure laptop computers(It is estimated that ₱ 25,000 is sufficient to buy units with the necessary specifications)
Kindly send a copy of the deposit slip, or screenshot of the electronic transaction, to Dr. Eden May B. dela Peña (adps_coe.upd@up.edu.ph), Associate Dean for Public Service College of Engineering UP Diliman, for accounting purposes and acknowledgment. Liquidation reports will be emailed to donors. Similarly, student beneficiaries will send the respective donors a confirmation receipt of laptop units.
