College of Engineering Shifting Applications for 2nd Semester, 2022-2023

Note: For shiftees/transferees within UP Units only. Transferees from other schools/universities may apply in the next academic year.

Requirements to be submitted:
• Application Form (Download the form here: bit.ly/COEShifting)
• Letter intention to shift w/ e-signature addressed to new dept Chair/director
• TCG for S2 and T1
• TCG or CRS print-out of grades for S1
General Procedure for Application for Transfer/Shifting (Undergraduate Level)
1. Download and fill out the application form: bit.ly/COEShifting
2. Email transfer_submit.engg@coe.upd.edu.ph all requirements (follow prescribed naming convention)
3. You will receive an automated response. All correspondences shall be done on the email thread received.
4. The admin will check/evaluate the application and the requirements you have submitted. You will also be notified if the forms are complete.
5. The Admin will refer your application to the department/institute for approval.
6. You will be notified on the status of your application on or before 1st week of August.
7. Once admitted, the admin will send you the acceptance letter and requirements to be submitted as soon as possible.
8. Print the acceptance letter and present to your previous college to request those requirements.
9. Scan all the requirements and send to transfer_admitted.engg@coe.upd.edu.ph
10. The admin will check/evaluate the requirements you have submitted. You will be notified if all are complete.
11.The admin will send all of your requirements to Office of University Registrar for the copy of your University Admission Slip.
12. The OUR will send us the scanned copy of your University Admission slip and a copy of your temporary CRS Account (new student only).
13.The admin will send you a copy of your temporary CRS account (new students only).
14. Use your temporary account in CRS for enlistment.
15. Proceed to your department/institute for enrollment.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS/DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:
BS Electrical Engineering (BS EE)
BS Computer Engineering (BS CoE)
BS Electronics Engineering
1. Must have passed Math 20 or equivalent.
2. Must have completed at least 30 academic units of baccalaureate- level courses.
3. Must have completed at least 30 academic units of baccalaureate- level courses.
4. Fully accomplished application form with photo. (forms available at coe website)
5. True Copy of Grades (TCG) or CRS printout of grades.
6. Letter with signature and contact details addressed to the Dr. Lew Andrew R. Tria, EEEI Director stating the reason for shifting.
7. OSE (Office of Student Ethics) Clearance/Certificate of No Pending Case/Good Moral Character or equivalent.
• NOTE: Applicants satisfying the above minimum requirements are NOT necessarily assured of acceptance.
GWA and MSWA will be considered for courses with numerical grades only.

BS Industrial Engineering (BS IE)
1. GWA of 2.0 or better and MSWA of 2.25 or better.
2. Must have passed Math 22 or equivalent.
3. No grade of 5.0; no unremoved 4.0 or INC.
4. Must not have been in residence for more than 3 years.
5. Must have completed at least 30 academic units.
6. Fully accomplished application form with photo. (forms available at coe website)
7. True Copy of Grades (TCG) or CRS printout of grades.
8. Letter with signature and contact details addressed to the Department Chair (Prof. Raymond Freth A. Lagria) stating the reason for shifting transferring.
9. OSE (Office of Student Ethics) Clearance/Certificate of No Pending Case/Good Moral Character or equivalent.

GWA and MSWA will be considered for courses with numerical grades only.

BS Mechanical Engineering (BS ME)
1. Curriculum Weighted Average (CWA) of 2.0 or better.
2. Math & Science Weighted (MSWA) of 1.75 or better.
3. Must have passed Math 21 and Physics 71.
4. Must have completed at least 30 academic units.
5. Fully accomplished application form with photo. (forms available at coe website)
6. True Copy of Grades (TCG) or CRS printout of grades
7. Letter w/ signature and contact details addressed to the Department Chair (Dr. Juvy A. Balbarona) stating the reason for shifting transferring.
8. OSE (Office of Student Ethics) Clearance/Certificate of No Pending Case/Good Moral Character or equivalent.

REMINDERS:
1. You may apply for a maximum of 2 degree programs with 2 separate documents submission.
2. Non Majors from the College of Engineering are not allowed to apply.
3. Letter of intent must always have a signature.
4. Do not submit TCG/CRS grades with incomplete grades.
5. When you are applying for 2 degree program, inform us your priority in case admitted in both program.
6. If required, you will be asked for an interview upon evaluation of documents by the admission committee.
7. GWA and MSWA will be considered for courses with numerical grades only.
8. Applicants satisfying the minimum requirements are not necessarily assured of acceptance.
9. Submit all documents in ZIP files with File Name: SURNAME-FIRSTNAME-MIDDLEI_DEGREEAPPLIED. Example: DELACRUZ-JUAN-P_BSGE.zip. For 2 applications, separate the documents into two zip files.
